Taxco, Guerrero

This is a beautiful town in the mountains above Cuernavaca, full of narrow cobblestone streets, white colonial buildings with tile roofs, a million white VW Beetle taxis, and graffiti.

Taxco was one of the richest silver cities in the Americas, and it shows. I'm just waiting for the Cuernavaca morning smog to lift and then I'm going to climb around the city. Climb is the only appropriate word. I have yet to find a level street. Good thing, too, because there is great food here.
