the above is the only painting ever stolen from me. i made a deal with a talented, up-and-coming filmmaker named Doug Harms that i would let him keep the painting for one year, at which point he would either return it, or, if he had made some money, pay me $1500. i didn't hear from him for two years. when i contacted him, he apologized profusely, and promised to start sending me money. i haven't heard from him since. that was several years ago.
