I take pictures for their own sake. Often location is only tangentially relevant, if at all. It's all about the image. Color, texture, shape... I'd like to think this feel for design carries over into my more deliberate recordings of place. Sometimes I think it does.

This was one of those times when I just looked up, saw a photo, and took it. These serendipitous images are frequently my favorites.

I do the same thing. Often I gravitate towards repetition. My eye seems to see a picture even when I don't have my camera. I've been known to go back to a place just to snap the picture.
